first i’ll tell you what we’re going to be using the computer for most of the time…
me and my sister just use the computer mainly just for surfing the web, music, videos, sometimes i make videos, sometimes i record my own audio. my little brother also plays computer games, not often, but occasionally.
my parents use it for mainly surfing the web as well.
alright, so i was just skimming through the options that dell offers when buying a computer, and there are a few questions that came up in my head (questions like, is so and so worth the extra $50 bucks etc)
and here they are:
1) The computer comes with an intel pentium dual-core E5200 precessor (2MB L2, 2.5GHz, 800FSB). But an optional Intel Core 2 Duo E7500 (3MB L2, 2.93GHz, 1066FSB) at $120 more, is it worth it?
2)The computer comes with windows vista home basic, but has optional vista home premium at $40 more, is it worth it?
3) Comes with a Integrated Intel® GMA x4500 Graphics, but an optional ATI Radeon HD 3450 256MB at $50 more. How noticable will the difference be and is it worth the extra price?
4)The computer doesn’t come with speakers, but they offer “Dell A525 30 Watt 2.1 Stereo Speakers with Subwoofer ” for $50 bucks, do you think its a good deal? 50 bucks for speakers with a subwoofer?
i think that’s all.
i’m just asking this because they are all upgrades i’m considering, but at the same time, i don’t want to get them if its not worth it because i don’t want my parents to spend too much on our computer.
thanks

I want to buy a mac pro(the one with two intel 2.8GHz quad core xeon harpertown processors) from the apple store with the only additions of a second disk drive and an airport wireless card for about £1900, however i want to upgrade it with more memory and hard drive space myself as i have heard that it would be cheaper than having apple do it before i buy it.
So my question is what memory and hard drives would be compatible with the mac pro?(It comes with 2GB of memory and a 320 GB hard drive as standard)
Also how much memory would you reconmend if i’ll be mainly using it to record multiple audio tracks in logic pro/garageband and editing movies and making DVD’s with IDVD and IMovie. I’ll also be using it to surf the internet, talk to friends and editing and storing photos.
Thanks in advance for any answers

I hought of this while vacationing in Hawaii and particularly looking at people who wore clothing from brands most closely associated with the surf/skate/snowboard culture (Quiksilver,Billabong, Burton, DC, Audio, etc…) . However, the same question could be applied to any group.
Heres how it works:
Based soely on your primary choice of casual clothing, define your self into one of the typical highschool stereotype (Nerd, Jock, Prep, Hip-hop, Gangster,
Surfer/skater, Goth, Emo, Punk, etc…)
Now explain to what degree you fit your selected stereotype, beyond your outward appearance.
For example: If you wear DC shoes, and clothes from Quiksilver, Element, and Burton along with a pear of baggy jeans, you fall into the surfer/skater category regardless, however does your lifestyle also fit this? Do you skate? surf? snowboard? do you generally fit in with other skaters?
This is for a psychology class I am taking next year. It sucks but the teacher gave us summer work
