My Computer Hangs Up Whenever I Play Music Along With Other Work.what Should I Do??

whenever i’m playing an audio file while surfing the net,i hear a click sound in my cd drive and a light blinks even though there’s no cd inside it.after a few seconds,the computer hangs.
my computer has 384MB RAM,windows xp sp2 ,1.53 ghz intel pentium 4.
help plz!!!

    That is really a small amount of RAM. I am surprised the music plays with out skips or pauses. You are probably filling the buffer and overflowing. You can try to remove some of the programs that start when you boot. If there are extra program Icons on the bottom right of the taskbar, they are using memory space. Normally they can be closed by right clicking.
