Is This A Good Laptop?

is this a good laptop for someone who will only be using it for web surfing, MS office, and storing music (itunes)…is there something i could change that would reduce the price but still do what i want it to do? I’m a computer noob so any help would be appreciated!

That’s perfect for what you’ll be using it for and I wouldn’t change anything. You don’t want to go lower with the processor. Vista needs a lot of ram, so it’ll run nice with 2 gigs of ram. If you’re really in a tight spot with money, you could go down to 1 gig and it’ll run alright, but the 2 gigs really helps. You could probably get a smaller hard drive. If you’re just planning on having music on it, a 250 GB hard drive is huge. You could store about 3500 hours of music in 250 gigs. That’s up to you though.

probably an over kill if you just going to surf web, I would also invest in antvirus, antispyware and a firewall for protection if it is not already installed.
