Attention Those Who Have A Dell Notebook With High Definition Audio And Intel Graphics Media Accelerator X3100

Is the High Definition Audio when you’re listening to music or watching movies really poor quality? Should I upgrade to Integrated Sound Blaster Audigy HD?
Is the Intel Graphics Media Accelerator X3100 poor quality? Should I upgrade to 128MB NVIDIA GeForce 8400M?
I’m not much of a gamer. I want a notebook to do homework, surf the net, and watch movies.

You can’t upgrade integrated hardware if you already own the notebook. The graphics card is probably not important for what you are using the laptop for but the intel graphics chipset DOES have some compatiblity issues with some games, for me it certainly wouldn’t fly, I personally love my Half Life 2 and the Intel 945GM couldn’t do it so I certainly don’t trust the X3100 to do it. The HD audio is more of a misnomer coined by realtek, the audio isn’t poor quality but certainly not the best available choice, the sound blaster Audigy Platinum series is probably best but probably useless with how you are going to have your system set up.
